El Morro (Morro castle)
Morro castle is fortress guarding the entrance of Havana Bay. It was built in 1589, when Cuba was under control of Spain. The castle was named after biblical Magi. Morro means a rock which is very visible from the sea and therefore serves as a navigational landmark in Spanish.
